What is a Sender ID?

When you receive a text message, you can see either a name or number at the top of the conversation on your phone. This is the Sender ID.

Sometimes the Sender ID is a mobile number, and other times it is a word or name of a bank or business like, ‘More’. Each Sender ID must clearly relate to the brand itself.

The new standard relates to Sender IDs that are words or names, not normal mobile numbers.
